A Lovely and Relaxing Christmas

It’s coming to the end of what has been a lovely and relaxing Christmas. For the first time ever me and my boyfriend had the chance to stay at home on Christmas Day, and we took the opportunity to open presents at leisure with a background soundtrack of Andre Rieu’s Christmas Spectacular on TV, eat a delicious roast beef dinner, bake gingerbread, have a Harry Potter marathon with our new box set, and curl up with my Georgette Heyer book (just me, not the boyfriend). Boxing Day was spent with my family, and we’d already had a few early Christmas dinners in the run-up so that we got to see all our other family members. With a nice extended break off work until the 5th January, I’ve continued to celebrate Christmas period in much the same relaxing way –Christmassy DVDs (It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf, Home Alone, The Nutcracker etc), a bit of sale shopping, and generally eating a lot of chocolate. Lovely stuff!

I mentioned in my Christmas countdown that I had been shopping for a diary, and my sister got me this gorgeous one! Other lovely gifts include pretty shoes, a Clarins gift box and a cookie decorating kit. I’m a sucker for all things pretty!
