Red Carpet Style: Women in white stand out at the SAG Awards

Last week’s Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles saw the usual array of glamorous red carpet looks, and standing out from the crowd for me were those in white. A big trend for SS12, white can be used to create a classic, elegant look with clean lines, or to create something feminine and ethereal using lace, embroidery and embellishments.

Here are my favourite looks from the night, which prove that there is nothing wannabe-bride-ish about a white gown.

Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Haute Couture with Tiffany & Co. jewels nails the “white” trend as well as channeling the mermaid-sheen look.

Gretchen Mol stands out in a classic, structured L’Wren Scott gown.

Kelly Osbourne looks timeless and elegant in Badgley Mischka. I love the belt on this one for something slightly different.

Judy Greer looks so pretty and feminine in Collette Dinnigan and I love the choice of colour-pop accessories!
