Very.co.uk have released results of their survey of 1,000 British office workers aged 18 to 40, revealing that Holly Willoughby is the top choice for office/work style inspiration. As Holly has a range of clothing at retailer Very, it is unsurprising that they’re shouting about this result, but overall I’m not too sure about the top ten, which includes Emma Watson, Abbey Clancey and Tulisa (the former has lovely red carpet style, but I’ve not seen much in the way of any work-wear credentials, and the latter – well, the less said the better). A little more promising is Fearne Cotton and Alexa Chung, who both made the top ten, and when they get it right, do get it very right.

I think the point is there though – looking stylish in the office is increasingly important and it’s no longer about boring suits and heels. The survey found that seasonal colours, printed blouses, knitwear and pumps are all gaining popularity in British office style. Office style can be relaxed, effortless and a lot more fun! Personally I’m surprised that the Gossip Girl ladies didn’t feature in the results – they’d be my pick!
