The Trafford Centre’s Big Night Out

We’ve had New York, London, Milan and Paris…. And now Manchester’s Trafford Centre is celebrating its own version of Fashion Week.

Apparently Manchester shoppers can enjoy a whole week of events, fashion shows, competitions and deals, but it’s looking like tomorrow night is the main night to get down there – it’s the Big Night Out! If Manchester’s attempt at Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out is always underwhelming, at least Trafford Centre are having a good go at creating something for us Northerners, and with everything all under one roof I can see it working pretty well.

I’ll be going down for the BANK event where there will be hair stylists and nail technicians, cocktails and an in-store DJ to launch their Ribbon Luxe brand. But there’s plenty more going on. From 6pm onwards you can expect mini fashion shows every 20 minutes at various stores in the Trafford Centre (Forever 21, Oasis, Mango, Reiss and Coast to name a few). Plus several stores are offering something in the way of a party atmosphere… Selfriges are having a Beauty Hall event; John Lewis’s fashion shows will be complemented by glasses of Cava; Marks and Spencer have fashion shows and wine and food tasting; Radley are offering a gift and cupcakes or macaroons with purchases; and there are makeovers, photographers and drinks at The Body Shop.

And if there aren’t enough reasons in there for you, there are also plenty of discounts and offers available for one night only. If you’re planning on revamping your wardrobe for autumn, might as well do it when there are discounts available! There will be a book of offers to collect on the night, but there’s meant to be 20% off on offer at Warehouse, Dune and French Connection and  15% at Dorothy Perkins and Oasis; to name a few. There are also deals on food and drink, with two for one Bellinis at The Circle 360 and 20% off at La Tasca or 25% at KRO.
