Cute and quirky gifts for the home

I’ve been sneakily Christmas shopping for about a month now- spreading the cost and extending the festive feelings and all that – and now that we’re down to about a month to go I think it’s fine to start talking about it! Today I was inspired to write this post while shopping in Next, which is not actually somewhere I would usually go to when shopping for gifts as I prefer the unique and unusual things which I find in smaller independent stores, but I was surprised to find that they’ve got a lovely gift collection this year. Aside from the usual beauty products etc, they’ve got a range of very prettily presented gifts for the home, including foodie gifts, vintage kitchen/dining items and a crafty-themed range. All of them looked lovely, and even distracted me from my boots shopping!

I’ve not got anyone in mind to buy these things for, but they’re worth spreading the word about, as are the following very cute and quirky gifts for the home…

Images from Next

Pretty retro radio, £30 from Simply Be

Orla Kiely planter, in her distinctive retro print, £12.95 from Hunkydory Home

And finally, a very cute set Matryoshka doll food containers. The quirkiest way to carry a packed lunch to work! I saw these in the Thunder Egg store in Manchester, but you can also find them online, in stores such as Strawberry Fool.
