Fashion and food really are the perfect pairing, and I’m not the only one who has noticed. Farfetch are a luxury fashion website selling pieces from boutiques from around the world, and they’ve recently embarked on a new lifestyle project with this chic little book “Farfetch Curates Food“.
The idea behind the book is to combine food, fashion and travel in a series of magazine-style pieces that explore the latest trends in food and drink from around the world, and they sent me this copy to review.
Although it’s only small it’s a great little coffee table book, full of nice little features about the most stylish places to eat with recommendations from some fashionable foodie folk. From breakfast (what are the most interesting breakfast dishes being eaten around the world?) and lunch (top blogger The Man Repeller lists her favourite NYC lunch spots); to experts tips on making the perfect cups of tea and coffee, and the stories behind the inventions of some fashionable famous cocktails (in case you had ever wondered how the espresso martini came about); it’s a great mix of food and travel content perfect for dipping into with a cup of tea.
As well as being an interesting read, my favourite bit is that it’s also full of recommendations for some great eating and drinking spots in cities around the world, from the off-beat and quirky to the seriously high-end, with a bit of French patisserie thrown in for good measure. So I’ll definitely be checking it out when I’m planning future city breaks!
