Next week is National Baking Week, so to mark the occasion I decided to spend my free Saturday trying out a new cupcake recipe. With the weather feeling so much colder now I can’t help but get those Christmassy feelings (don’t judge me), so I chose to make gingerbread cupcakes with a lemon-zest cream cheese frosting – recipe from Hummingbird Bakery “Cake Days”.
I can definately recommend this recipe – it’s delicious! And I also tried out creating some cute decorations from melted chocolate (check out my romantic ‘his and hers’ versions for me and my boyfriend below hehe). Sadly life is not like the film “Bridesmaids”, where it is possible to bake and decorate a single cupcake, so the only problem I have now is that I have 17 cupcakes to find homes for!
