Review: Simba Reflexology Slippers

Way back in 2016 I wrote a post all about my first experience of Reflexology, a gentle, non-invasive therapy rooted in the idea that specific points on the feet are linked to different areas of the body. During a session, a reflexologist applies targeted pressure to these points to support whole-body wellbeing and promote relaxation. I found the firm-pressure massage across different areas of the feet was both deeply relaxing and genuinely beneficial. So when I came across Simba’s Reflexology Slippers, I was immediately intrigued to see how they could do something similar.

Simba is best known for its innovative mattresses and other bedding products, so branching out into reflexology-inspired slippers really feels like a natural extension of their brand. Designed with patented technology, these slippers have a reflexology-inspired gel-filled insole which aims to stimulate nine key pressure points in your feet as you walk, each connected to different parts of the body. The idea is to bring some of the benefits of reflexology into your everyday routine, and though this, support better sleep.

Simba’s slipper range includes three stylish, classic designs in earthy, neutral colours, available for both men and women. I chose the award-winning Stormur pair in beige, which is their classic moccasin design crafted from Merino wool and leather, with a solid rubber base making them versatile enough for outdoor wear as well as indoor.

Taking a look at the product reviews and the customer rating of 4.8 stars, it is clear that a great many people find them to be exceptionally comfortable, long lasting, and even able to provide relief from foot pain, and therefore well worth the investment. And I have to say, I agree with all of this. They are extremely supportive and comfortable to walk in.

And although they are never going to provide quite the same experience as an in-person reflexology therapy session (which, by the way, I wholeheartedly recommend!) they do gently massage your feet to provide relaxation. If you’re someone struggling to unwind, managing stress or trying to carve out more time for self-care, what could be better than a pair of slippers designed to massage your feet with every step!

For me, they’ve become a simple way to add a touch of relaxation to my day, no appointment required, and a small step towards everyday wellbeing.
