There’s been a lot of backlash about the increase in the price of stamps since 30th April (it’s now 60p for a first class!), but this new collection of stamps, which celebrates the best in British fashion since WWII, certainly appeals to me! The Great British Fashion Stamp Set is now available, and showcases some of Britain’s finest designers and fashion houses on ten first class stamps. Apparently the collection, which was shot by fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø, has been created in honour of the Olympics and the Jubilee, as well as to highlight that Britain really is at the forefront of fashion.
The look is particularly distinctive because of the decision not to show models wearing the pieces (apparently to showcase the fashion itself rather than risk the model becoming the focus), and below are some of my favourite stamps from the collection:
I agree – I love them all. McQueen would be my fave though.
