Theatre awards dinner

Around this time every year Bolton’s amateur theatre scene hosts its annual awards dinner, and when you’ve got all the theatrical folk of Bolton in one room, you’ve got yourself a pretty glamourous affair.

Needless to say it was a fab night, and there was great success awards-wise for the two shows I was in: Best Musical (Children of Eden) and Best Pantomine (Beauty and the Beast).

I opted to channel the deco trend with this LBD with bejewelled neckline, and went for an up-do….

(Black deco dress from Warehouse, ankle-strap peep toe shoes from Miss KG, Vivienne Westwood earrings, Swarovski charm bracelet)

I also thought I’d give the microbead manicure a go, with black nail polish and black microbeads from ebay. (As I understand it, I can’t technically call this a caviar manicure unless I’ve use the kit by Ciate, but that’s essentially what it is). I did like the extravagance of the look of this manicure and thought it suited the event I was going to. But I would say that it doesn’t last long before the beads start coming off, so I’d recommend doing it as late on as possible on the day of your event.
