This weekend I had the most amazing birthday party! You may remember I mentioned winning a competition to win a vintage party package with lovely Daisy the caravan, and for my prize I arranged with Daisy’s owner Sian to have a cute vintage-themed birthday party for me and 8 friends in a local countryside campsite! Well the day finally came and I had the best time, so this photo-heavy post is all about sharing the total cuteness of our vintage party.

As you can see, Daisy is really, really cute! Sian has done a lovely job decking her out in vintage style with florals and polka-dots, china teacups and bunting, and as I chose the “Carnival” package we were supplied with Pimms, hotdogs and everything we needed to make candyfloss and popcorn, as well as some cute cakes and snacks. Daisy also comes with retro board games and croquet, which we spent the afternoon playing, and a retro Bush radio. Being aware of that in advance I prepared a vintage-inspired playlist on my iPod (check out Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox), which I played through the radio using an FM converter – well it would have been a shame not to make use of such a cute radio!
We’d decided that our outfits should match the occasion too, so there were plenty of headscarves and pretty prints. This turned out to be perfect when we discovered Daisy’s Fujifilm Instax mini camera and hilarious photo booth props!

To sum it all up, I had the most amazing time! Thanks to Sian for making it all happen, and Cassie for picking me as the winner of this fab prize. I think Daisy is the perfect way to make any occasion special, and she can be hired for weddings and parties at www.daisyvintagecaravan.com.
