I was recently sent the most beautifully packaged parcel containing skincare and bath treats from Rosina’s Lotions and Potions, and I was completely won over by both the gorgeous packaging and the magical brand name! Their lovely range of English-made, cruelty free skincare and bath products are all made from natural ingredients, and are inspired by both the owner’s grandmother, a dancer with a flair for mixing up innovative skincare potions, and her mother’s scientific skincare background. I love that family secrets are part of the story of the brand, and how their vintage heritage is portrayed in their feminine vintage packaging. These products will look beautiful on the shelf, there’s no doubt about it!

Today I wanted to review the two luxury skincare products I have been using for a couple of weeks now: the Fountain Of Youth Serum and the Rose Perfecting Oil – one of their bestsellers.
Rose Perfecting Oil
As my skin is quite dry at the moment (thanks winter!), I have been using this moisturising facial oil every day after cleansing and underneath both the serum and my usual moisturiser. I’ve only been using a very small amount each day across my face and neck – pressing it on from warmed hands rather than rubbing it in. As it’s the first post-cleanse product I use, it really absorbs into the skin for deep replenishment, and it is full of essential nutrients to benefit the skin. Rose oil is also known for being anti-inflammatory and gentle, which is great for more sensitive skin or areas of redness – both of which I have.

Fountain Of Youth Serum
Serums are not something I have generally use daily, but because they are lighter and thinner than moisturisers, they are really absorbent and can get their beneficial active ingredients deep into the skin. This one promises radiant skin and and an intense moisture boost thanks to the addition of rose, argan oil and collagen-boosting ingredients.

Combined, these two products have really boosted my skin over these past few freezing winter weeks. It’s a terrible time of year for skin, and I’d noticed how dry mine had become. Together this deeply moisturising duo has had a noticeable effect, even with just my standard moisturiser used over the top. I would describe the results as dewy and glowing, and I’m pleased that I have hardly made a dent in the bottles – both are used very sparingly and will last me ages!

I couldn’t really have asked for a prettier parcel of treats – I just love the beautiful vintage rose aesthetic! And Rosina’s also has a lovely collection of candles, bath bombs, soaps and perfumes, and some beautiful packaged gift sets too.
Valentine’s Day roses? How about beautiful rose-based skincare products instead?
