On Friday me and my dad were lucky enough to get free tickets (applied for through the BBC) to see Craig Charles’ Funk and Soul Show live on the Piazza of Media City, Salford Quays. The show, which also featured live music performed by The Haggis Horns, was broadcast on BBC 6 last night, and is still available on iplayer.
We had an awesome time – the setting was nice (by the edge of the water and in front of the BBC Studios), the weather gorgeous, the atmosphere relaxed and holidayish, and the music really funky! Ashamed to say I’ve never listened to this show on BBC 6 before, but I’m definitely a fan now!
It was also my first experience of the outdoor dock bar at Media City piazza, and I love my outdoor beers when the atmosphere is chilled like this. Definitely worth applying for those tickets!!
