Just a quick post to say how extremely sad I am not to be heading to London in time to see the Disney Princess Christmas window displays at Harrods. How to make shopping at one of the world’s most famous luxury stores even more of an experience – add a Disney boutique complete with fairytale gowns by some of the world’s top designers! Thankfully you can see a full gallery of photographs of the window displays, plus sketches at Vogue UK, and if you check out the Harrods Magazine online or on their app, they have a photo story with the gowns modelled.

I saw the sketches for the Disney Princess inspired gowns some weeks ago, and was excited to see the final results. I think the designers chosen for each were the perfect choice. Roberto Cavalli for Pocahontas – of course! Marchesa for The Little Mermaid – inspired! My personal favourite is most definitely the Aurora gown – I couldn’t think of any designer better suited to this project than Elie Saab, whose gowns always look as if they stepped straight out of a fairytale.
