Yesterday I spent the afternoon wandering around Botany Bay, off the M61 near Chorley, where I haven’t been for at least 15 years! With four floors of stalls and shops housed within a renovated mill, it’s quite a unique shopping experience.
From the Dickensian style shops selling old fashioned sweets and those unusual food items that I always love to put together in gift hampers for Christmas presents (beers, wines, chocolates, chutneys etc), to the stalls selling pretty gifts, jewellery, candles and homewares, it’s the perfect Christmas shopping destination! On top of that there’s antiques and collectables, and floors of stylish furniture too.
An enjoyable afternoon, which I finished off with tea and cake in the Casablanca-themed café!
Oooh it seems to have expanded since I was last there. About a year ago it was really empty with not that many stalls – but this looks lovely!

Yeah the ground floor is a food hall now – with even more stalls to come!
