Today I bought a little something for my dad for Father’s Day, and without a suitably masculine gift bag in the house I decided to do something a little more creative than going out to buy one.
This is my rustic handmade gift wrapping – which I think looks suitably masculine as well as attractive, and as I upcycled the thick brown paper that was once the inside of a roll of wrapping paper (I now feel justified at holding on to it), it’s both cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
This was as simple as printing “DAD” randomly across the sheet using my alphabet rubber stamps and a black ink pad. And a piece of matching black ribbon adds an elegant finishing touch – I have a 10m roll lying around, which I bought for a reasonable price off eBay, and which I use for gift wrapping all the time!
A very quick and simple idea, but I think it’s pretty effective. What do you think?
This is such a cute idea.
