I think the mini shift dress might be my absolute favourite dress style at the moment, and thanks to a bold print and leg-revealing length I decided this one was a great choice for a night out. This funky floral dress is from Laundry Boutique and I love the blue rose print for early Spring. Laundry Boutique are an independent boutique with a store right here in Manchester, and since they came onto my radar I’ve loved browsing their website. They’ve got loads of printed dresses like this one so they’re right up my street, and they’ll be featuring at Manchester Fashion Week next weekend. They’ve also given me a 10% off discount code for my UK readers to use – englishrose10.
Because the print is quite bold I kept the rest of the outfit quite simple – a classic black clutch and black block heels with an ankle strap (this style of shoe is everywhere right now!). And just a bit of funky statement jewellery. Dress c/o Laundry Boutique; shoes from Viva la Diva; necklace from Primark; bag by Gucci; the ring was a holiday souvenir.
And because it’s still spring I went for pretty feminine pink makeup – almost-white pastel pink nails (Rose Hip by Barry M) and coral pink lips (lip crayon from Ted Baker).
What do you think of my spring evening look?
