It’s now mere days until my trip to Disneyland Paris and the excitement is seriously building! I last visited 2 years ago (and before that in my early teens) so I know what to expect, and here are some of the things I’m most excited about…
1. Disney Dreams
This night-time show was launched for the 20th Anniversary of the park and I saw it every evening last time I visited. It’s such a magical show with projections onto the castle, fireworks, fountains and a selection of Disney’s most iconic songs, and I’ll be interested to see if they’ve updated it.
2. Big Thunder Mountain
The runaway mine train is still probably my favourite Disneyland ride of all.
3. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
This was a new discovery last time I was there – an interactive shooting ride. Such fun!
4. Blue Lagoon Restaurant
I’ve never eaten in this restaurant but I’ve always thought it looked so magical. You dine in the moonlight setting of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and if you get a table by the water’s edge you can even see the boats floating past. When I’ve been on the ride I’ve always been so jealous of the diners there, so it’s on our “to do” list.
5. The music of Main Street USA
The ragtime-style piano music loop featuring familiar showtunes is the first thing that greets you as you enter the park and you hear it every time you’re in the Main Street area (which is a lot!). The sound of it fills me with happy memories!
6. Frozen
The amazing Frozen has been released since my last visit, so I’ll be looking out for anything Frozen-related (including merch).
7. Swing into Spring
Apparently the park is all decked out in flowers and topiary for spring, and there are a couple of extra things to look out for as part of this seasonal celebration. Excited!
So my plan was to schedule a couple of posts for while I’m away, but I’m not sure how likely that is now that time is ticking away… It may still happen if I get chance, but in the meantime it’s all about the Disneyland countdown!
I love Disney. I first went in 1972 to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and most recently 2 years ago with my grandchildren. It never gets old. 🙂
It really never does get old! I love it so much
