So yesterday was my 30th birthday, and rather than one big 30th party I have been celebrating in different exciting ways that suit all the different sides of my personality.
- I embraced my childish side with my recent trip to Disneyland Paris.
- I celebrated silliness and fun with friends at a fab Greek night complete with Greek dancing at Bouzouki by Night.
- I enjoyed fantastic food and fine dining in the company of my close family at Alberts restaurant in Worsley.
- And next week me and Craig will be living it up in Barcelona – somewhere I’ve wanted to visit for such a long time, so I’m very excited.
And then that got me thinking of all the things I want to do this year. Here’s my list of 30 things I want to do, try or achieve in my 30th year. (This list is only fun by the way – there’s no life-shaping things in here like mortgages or babies ha).
- Watch an outdoor concert.
- Go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour.
- Give Mad Men a try – I’ve heard good things about this series.
- Go for a picnic using my picnic hamper.
- See Jersey Boys in Manchester when it tours the UK.
- And for that matter, see it at the cinema next month.
- See Barnum on tour in Manchester.
- Improve my singing.
- Bake something using coconut oil as a healthier butter substitute.
- Watch the recording of Tim Rice’s new musical From Here to Eternity when it screens at cinemas in July.
- Create and edit some videos which could potentially be the start of a YouTube channel.
- Create a nice balcony garden to be proud of (summer weather permitting).
- And then have a BBQ on the balcony.
- Try some Fudge hair chalks.
- Visit the newly renovated Manchester library.
- Make some home-made ice lollies and be creative with the recipes.
- Make a scrapbook.
- Try some new places to eat in Manchester including Proper Tea, Australasia and The Blue Pig.
- Get some cute wellies and use them.
- Make macaroons.
- Perfect the art of beach hair.
- Read at least 1 book a month.
- Make ice cream.
- Make a concerted effort to lose weight.
- Have that massive clear out I keep thinking about.
- Go on a treasure trail walk.
- Make more time for “date nights” with Craig.
- Finish painting my Russian dolls.
- Learn how to follow a sewing pattern.
- Go camping.
And just because it’s my birthday post, I thought I’d also share a few of my lovely presents too!
Hope you had a great birthday!! 🙂 x
It was lovely thanks! X
I can recommend Mad men. It starts off slowly but gets you hooked. Proper tea in the cathedral is rather good. try the rainbow cake 🙂 Hope to get a couple of camping trips in too.x
