Last week Hobbs launched a brand new pop-up shop at number 1 King Street (a great address!) and I went along to check out this lovely bright store, which will be selling an edited range of the Spring/Summer collection.

If you’re not familiar with Hobbs, it’s a high-end brand selling classic occasionwear and timeless daytime pieces. Nothing is cheap here because everything is well-made from lovely good-quality fabrics. Hobbs really focuses on its “Wardrobe Saviours” – timeless staples that every wardrobe should have to take you from season to season. These pieces, such as a chic trench coat or a crisp white shirt, are the perfect Hobbs investment buys because you know the quality is there!
The Spring/Summer collection looks lovely too, with plenty of pale blue, white and yellow making the store look very appealing as you pass by. And even though I think the classic Hobbs customer is older than I am, there were loads of pieces that I could see myself buying, especially the sixties-style cropped trousers and boxy tops, and the gorgeous Italian-crafted shoes (I just loved the chunky black heeled sandals and the cute metallic gold flats).

And just to mark the occasion, illustrator Sarah Smart (@sarahsmartdraws) was in store creating fashion illustrations of customers as they shopped – what a lovely idea!

I reckon King Street will be a great location for Hobbs!
