A West End Dance Class for London Hen Parties

I was recently a “hen” at my friend’s London-based hen-do and I really want to recommend one of the activities we did to provide inspiration for any future London hen party planners. Wow the Guests is a dance company offering dance sessions based in their West End dance studio. If, like us, you’re a theatrical bunch and will be taking in a West End musical, then this dance class is a great extra activity to tie in with the theatre theme.

The classes are personalised to the group, so the bride can choose whichever song she wants to dance to (in advance) and the dance teacher will choreograph a bespoke routine to teach in the session. What’s great is that you can pick any song, so this could be one from a show you’re actually going to see, or in our case, just a really fun number from a favourite musical – we performed “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray (and you can actually view a video of our routine in the “Wow the Guests” Facebook group!)

I’d really recommend these dance classes as we had so much fun! It may have helped that we’d had a few glasses of cider in the sun before we turned up at the studio, but we really went for it and enjoyed every minute. The team know how to make sure the class is good fun and there’s no pressure to get all the steps right. Our routine was pitched at a suitable level of difficulty and our lovely teacher was able to take the class at a speed that suited the group, which is ideal for a hen do situation.

It’s a great activity for any fun-loving group, and best of all you can film it (or have it filmed) so that you have a hilarious souvenir from your day. And if you’re a really confident group you could even pull an impromptu performance of your routine out of the bag at the actual wedding reception!
