On Saturday I had to get up at the crack of dawn (not literally but it definitely felt like it) to take my car into the garage. And even though it felt like a struggle to get out of bed so early on my precious weekend, I ended up loving the extra hours that I got out of the day. The weather was lovely – just perfect for a leisurely stroll around a local lodge and nature reserve. And after a morning sunshine stroll and some lunch it was great that I had so much of my day left because of the early start!

The floral shirt you might recognise from my vintage-themed birthday party, but happily it is versatile enough to work in regular outfits too. And my casual summer outfit was topped off by this classic-looking Timex watch, which I love because its chic, timeless design has the slightly unusual twist of having a linen strap. And although I did think a linen strap might have the potential be scratchy, this one is lined with leather so it feels very soft and comfortable. A sign of quality I think!
