Trend edit: ankle strap shoes

Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture AW11 is when I first became obsessed with shoes with ankle straps. I looked for them everywhere, but was struggling to find many examples on the high street at that point.

Now they are everywhere! They can still be seen on the SS12 catwalks, such as at Jonathan Saunders, and they are also all over the high street.

I’m still loving this trend, whether it is a small and delicate ankle strap, an edgy ankle cuff or a ballet-inspired ribbon tie, and have picked out some of my favourites from the results of my obsessive searching.
