Daisy Print Pencil Skirt

My daisy print pencil skirt was the basis of this simple day-to-night outfit which I wore to work last Thursday and then on to the South Beach blogger event over at Lola’s cocktail bar. The skirt is from Dorothy Perkins, who continue to surprise me with their collection. I always see so many things I like in there, and the prices are really reasonable. Actually the skirt is a bit longer than the knee length shown in these photos, but because I was wearing it with low-heel boots I decided roll to roll it up a little (reminiscent of my school days) for a more flattering length. Daisies are great though aren’t they? They’re just fun, and it’s definitely possibly to make them appear less crazy and more work-friendly with a simple top like I did here.

Denim jacket from Forever 21; black shell top from Mango; daisy pencil skirt from Dorothy Perkins; “Happy” necklace from My Style Union; ankle boots from M&S.

And I have to say something about my oversized “happy” necklace as I just love it! It was one of those style stalker purchases where I saw a random stranger wearing it, knew I had to have it and then hunted it down online! I think it gives off good vibes and certainly attracts comments when I wear it.
